Le Sigh!

HoneyBadger says:

The qualities I want in a red liquid lipstick are:

Colour Intensity – This is not an intense red, it may work for people who aren’t as pedantic about their reds as I am. I love a true blue red with vibrancy, this isn’t that. The product is also patchy which requires more than a couple of coats to build up the colour.

Opacity – The colour must be opaque as well as intense,  this is not, this seemed more like a lip stain than a liquid lipstick and this could be because Bourjois was more interested in making this product comfortable on the lips as opposed to the colour payoff. The more I applied the more opaque the product became, a fourth coat just about got to my required level of opacity.

Comfortable – This is a comfortable liquid lipstick and feels similar to a lip oil, this is primarily due to the fact that the lipstick doesn’t really dry down and remains sticky throughout after application. As I also needed to apply several layers to increase opacity, this meant the product was extra sticky which was not ideal.

Non-transfer – As the liquid lipstick doesn’t dry down, there is transfer and wear and as such the product leaves its trace on cups, lovers, friends and cutlery.

Longwear – Also because the product doesn’t dry down it tends to wear down very quickly as such it doesn’t last long and in time you get the bare lip ombre effect (my polite term for lip stick wear off) and one starts looking borderline clownish.

All in all, this product is patchy as ….. and a total waste of my money, I am thoroughly unimpressed and very disappointed in myself for buying this.

This is a FAIL! for me.
