So as most beauty vloggers on YouTube usually encourage you to use eyeshadow as a highlighter, I was inspired to use one of Make Up Forever‘s eyeshadows as blusher.
Just incase you were wondering I used the eyeshadow on the right (the pink one).
This is the problem with me spending too much time on YouTube. One tends to think the make-up shown and demonstrated would work as well in real life.
Well I am here to tell you NO!!! learn from my mistakes, I suffer for my beauty addiction.
Evidence is posted below, so let this be a lesson to you. I will definitely have a little bit of a lighter hand when applying blush in the future, be it the real thing or eyeshadow.
To compound the below omnishambles on my face, I wore this look into work….. I work in a corporate environment so imagine that.
TOTAL FAIL!
Lol for a second I thought the green one was going to be used. I’ve tried this method out too with an eyeshadow from The Makeup Store that the store artist recommended and it worked. Yet it meant I didn’t bother looking at the blushes anymore (she began to regret telling me lol). I think it depends on the shade but, it doesn’t look as bad as you say … ahh perhaps a bit too frosty.
🙂
Lol!!! I wouldn’t dare use the green. I am always looking to make my make-up work harder to get the most out of it, especially as I don’t see myself hitting pan using this solely as an eyeshadow. I am a bit remiss with primer, so this might also have contributed to it being a fail. I might try it again.
